WARROORA STATION, WA

WARROORA STATION

Well after a week at this stunning campsite it was time to move on as a short work contract in the Pilbara came up 👎

Definitely enjoyed this place though! Warroora Station (pronounced 'Warra') can be found about 45 mins south of Coral Bay, Western Australia. It's got a huge array of campsites available accross the station, so even though it's hugely popular you're bound to find a spot.

We pulled in at the end of school holidays and managed to nab a spot on the beach at the 14 Mile beach camping area where we fortunately had a bunch of other mates camping as well so it was a very social week.

Warroora will set you back $10 per adult per night or $50 per week. Kids under 16 are FREE. So that's $100/wk for a couple or a family, making it extremely good value if you've got lots of kids.

There are limited facilities - pretty much only a tip & a dump point. You MUST have a chemical toilet to camp here. If you don't have your own you can hire one from the caretaker. The same goes for firepits if you wanna have a fire. There is no fresh water available but you can get it in Coral Bay if you need to top up. And of course there's plenty of sea water! Dogs are most definitely allowed.

We spent our days swimming (in lieu of showers), snorkelling, kayaking, fishing (but catching no fish!) and exploring the many different beaches on the property. Plus having a few too many drinks with our fellow campers.

Ahhh life is goooood
