MILLSTREAM-CHICHESTER NATIONAL PARK
Millstream-Chichester is kind of like the unknown 3rd Hemsworth brother. Perfectly attractive in it's own right but sadly often overlooked thanks to it's stunning brother Karijini just down the road.
We bypassed it ourselves last time we were in the area, so made sure we stopped in to check it out this time around!
And look the truth is it's not as visually stunning as Karijini, but it is a lovely spot and still worthy of a visit.
We spent a couple of nights at the Miliyanha Campground which will set you back $11 per adult and has drop loos plus a great little camp kitchen with cooker, bbq and hot (non-potable) water.
There's a couple of lovely swimming holes within the park including the popular Python Pool, and plenty of walks to keep you busy. And the drive through the park is stunning with plenty of unique Pilbara landscape on show (plus a few wildflowers at this time of year).
We drove in from Karratha - the road is paved for the first 100km then it's about 40km of dirt with a fair few corrugations. We didn't think the road was too bad but the comments on Wikicamps indicate other people think otherwise so might be worth reconsidering if you've got an on-road caravan and you're not used to the dirt 😉
